Despite their perfect record this season, the Philadelphia Eagles are facing defensive issues owing to injuries
According to Bleacher Report, the Eagles could sign linebacker Anthony Barr, a four-time Pro Bowler who spent eight seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
Anthony Barr signed a lucrative contract with the Vikings in 2019 worth $67.5 million over five years.
However, in 2021, he and the Vikings decided to alter his deal, lowering his salary to $8.6 million.
The Eagles currently have limited depth at off-ball linebacker, with only three players on the roster
Barr might offer additional knowledge in this role and act as an insurance policy. Despite not being a four-time Pro Bowler, Barr made 58 total tackles in 14 games with the Cowboys last season.
Barr's performance rating for the 2022 season is 59.7 out of 100 points, according to Pro Football Focus.
While his Pro Bowl days may be behind him, he might still be an asset to the Eagles, particularly as they cope with ailments like Nakobe Dean's.
Barr was on a one-year, $2 million contract with the Cowboys the previous season. Philadelphia might potentially sign him to a low-cost contract.
