NBC honours Deion Sanders and Colorado football in a remarkable college football decision.

NBC will broadcast its first nationally televised game of the season on September 7, featuring the Colorado Buffaloes vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers at Memorial Stadium, marking NBC's first game at this venue since 1965.

Colorado aims to capitalise on its move to the Big 12, while Nebraska, under coach Matt Rhule, seeks a turnaround after finishing fourth in the Big Ten West last season with a 3-6 conference record.

Last season, Colorado defeated Nebraska 36-14, but their momentum was halted during conference play. Both teams look to make an early impact this season in their historic rivalry.

Under Deion Sanders' dynamic leadership, Colorado's football program has gained national attention and media coverage, rejuvenating the team's presence in college football.

Over the past 18 months, Colorado has seen more than 90 player transfers. Sanders has welcomed 41 transfers, focusing on rebuilding the offensive line and improving the much-criticised defence.

Five-star 2024 signee Jordan Seaton bolsters Colorado's offensive line, addressing a critical need for the team.

Top recruit Cormani McClain initially committed to Miami but switched to Colorado under Sanders, later leaving the program and criticising Sanders' focus on media attention over wins.

Despite high turnover and roster changes, Colorado remains a hot topic in college football, drawing significant attention and discussion.
